2. Delivery, Collection and Assembly Costs
When you place your order, you choose one of the following options. The price is shown at checkout before you complete your purchase. All prices below include VAT at 15%.
- Collect (self-assemble): Free. You collect your order from us in Wellington and assemble it yourself;
- Collect (pre-assembled): R575. We assemble your raised bed before you collect it from us in Wellington;
- Delivery (self-assemble): R1,150. Your order is delivered to your address and you assemble it yourself; and
- Delivery (pre-assembled): R1,725. Your raised bed is delivered to your address fully assembled.
Each price covers an order of up to 10 beds. Larger orders are charged the price again for every further 10 beds or part thereof. For example, 1 to 10 beds are charged once and 11 to 20 beds are charged twice.
Delivery at these prices is only available to the areas listed in section 1.
Collection is from Wellington, Western Cape. Once your order is ready, we will contact you with the collection address and times. Pre-assembled raised beds are up to 2.3 m long, so please bring a suitable vehicle, such as a bakkie or a vehicle with a trailer, to collect them.
3. Delivery Service
Our delivery service covers the transportation of your purchased products to the nominated delivery address.
Our third-party courier or delivery partners are responsible for delivering the goods to the agreed delivery address. They are not authorised or required to:
- Unpack your products;
- Assemble or install your raised beds;
- Position or move products beyond the normal delivery process; or
- Remove packaging materials from the property.
If you would prefer not to assemble your raised bed yourself, choose a pre-assembled option at checkout and we will assemble it before it is delivered or collected.
If your order requires assistance with unpacking, installation or positioning, please contact us to discuss whether additional assistance or an approved installer is available in your area.
4. Large or Palletised Deliveries
Due to the size, weight and nature of some PLAASlik Raised Beds products, certain orders may be delivered crated, boxed or on pallets to help protect the products during transportation.
Where applicable, the packaging may need to be dismantled by the customer after delivery.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient space and suitable access for the delivery vehicle to safely deliver the order.
If you require assistance with unpacking or installation, please contact us before delivery so that we can advise you of any available options. Assembly is available by choosing a pre-assembled option at checkout.
5. Delivery Address and Special Instructions
Please ensure that the delivery address supplied when placing your order is complete and accurate.
If there are any circumstances that may affect delivery, please notify us at the time of placing your order.
This may include:
- Narrow or restricted access roads;
- Security gates or access-controlled properties;
- Weight or height restrictions;
- Difficult or limited access to the property;
- Apartment complexes or properties requiring special access arrangements;
- Delivery restrictions imposed by a complex, estate or building; or
- Any other information that the courier or delivery driver should be aware of.
It is the customer's responsibility to provide us with any relevant delivery instructions before dispatch.
If a delivery cannot be completed because important delivery information or restrictions were not communicated to us in advance, additional delivery or redelivery charges may apply.
Any such additional charges will be communicated to the customer where reasonably possible and may be payable by the customer before the order can be redelivered.
6. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times may vary depending on your location, product availability and the courier service used.
As a general guide, delivery may take approximately:
- Main areas: 3–5 working days from dispatch
- Outlying areas: 5–7 working days from dispatch
These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, weather conditions, public holidays, strikes, road closures, unforeseen logistical issues or other exceptional circumstances.
Orders will only be dispatched once payment has been received and cleared in full.
For payments made by EFT or bank deposit, funds must reflect in our bank account before the order can be dispatched.
7. Delayed Deliveries
If you need your order to be delivered on a specific later date, please notify us when placing your order.
Where reasonably possible, we will make arrangements with our dispatch and courier partners to accommodate your requested delivery date.
If no prior arrangement has been made and your order has already been dispatched, it may not be possible to delay the delivery.
If a shipment has to be redirected or returned to our dispatch facility because delivery could not be completed as a result of a requested or uncommunicated delay, additional delivery or redelivery charges may apply.
8. Pre-Orders
Products marked as “Pre-Order” are not currently available for immediate dispatch.
A pre-order allows you to reserve or secure an item before the expected stock arrival.
Where possible, we will provide information regarding the expected availability or arrival of pre-order products. However, estimated arrival dates may change due to circumstances outside our control, including manufacturing, shipping, customs or other logistical delays.
Pre-order products will be dispatched once the relevant stock has arrived and is available for fulfilment.
If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order products, delivery arrangements may vary depending on the products included in the order.
9. Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched from our fulfilment or dispatch centre, you will receive a notification confirming that your order has been sent.
Where tracking is available, our courier partner may provide additional notifications regarding the progress and location of your delivery.
Please ensure that the email address and contact details provided when placing your order are correct so that you can receive these notifications.
10. Receiving Your Delivery
Please inspect your delivery when it arrives.
If the packaging appears visibly damaged, please photograph the packaging and the affected products before unpacking where possible.
If you believe your order has been damaged during transit, is incomplete or contains the wrong product, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and photographs where applicable.
Please do not dispose of damaged packaging until we have advised you that it is no longer required.
Any claims relating to damaged, incorrect or missing items will be handled in accordance with our Returns and Refunds Policy and applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
11. Failed or Missed Deliveries
You are responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive the delivery, or that suitable arrangements have been made with us or the courier where applicable.
If a delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, the delivery address is incorrect, access is unavailable, or the courier is unable to safely access the property, the courier may return the shipment to its depot or our dispatch facility.
Additional delivery or redelivery charges may apply in circumstances where the failed delivery was caused by information or circumstances that were the customer's responsibility.
12. Returns and Refunds
If you need to return a product after receiving your order, please refer to our Returns and Refunds Policy.
If you have any questions regarding a return, refund, damaged delivery or other order-related matter, please contact us at:
info@plaaslikraisedbeds.co.za
Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
13. Delivery Delays Beyond Our Control
While we and our delivery partners make reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery times, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include:
- Severe weather;
- Floods or other natural events;
- Road closures;
- Strikes or industrial action;
- Public holidays;
- Courier network disruptions;
- Customs or regulatory delays;
- Vehicle breakdowns;
- Unforeseen logistical problems; or
- Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
